What does made in the USA mean to you? To me it means that people who live and work right here in the United States of America have crafted, painted, designed, and labored over what is being made with materials that are purchased from companies that make those materials in the USA.
Some businesses would have you believe that "assembled" in the USA is the same thing as "made" in the USA. It is not. it is entirely made over seas and then the finished pieces are put together here. If it is important to you, then you need to look carefully where a product comes from. If you are like me, then you want to help support your family and neighbors right here at home. This has been a very tough recession for many people and we can all do our part to help. Buy local, and support small business. This may cost a little extra up front but in the long run it will come back to you if you do this.
Many people have asked us to "grow" into having our product made overseas. We will not. We make everything here with wood that is sustainable from California and paint made here by american companies. It is a small difference that we might make but we are trying. If everyone did just a little, we could turn this economy around and put people back to work.
